Lima Host To Ensure LIMA 2009 Continues To Perform As Business Platform

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- HW Lima Sdn Bhd, the sole host of this year's edition of the prestigious Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) Exhibition, is leaving nothing to chance in ensuring the premier regional event continues to perform as a business platform.
"Our top priority is to ensure LIMA continues to perform as a business platform. To realise this prime objective, we are building on our good work previously to ensure the biennial event proceeds smoothly without any hitches.
"We believe this year's LIMA will proceed smoothly," said Managing Director Ahmad Dzuhri Abdul Wahab.
While it was an honour to be picked as the sole organiser of the event, he said his company would do the utmost for the event to be participated by 325 maritime, aviation and military exhibitors from 25 countries.
LIMA 2009 will be held in tourist haven Langkawi from Dec 1 to 5.
Previously, LIMA was co-hosted by two different maritime and aerospace organisers.
HW Lima, the maritime segment host since 1997, has been mandated to solely host this year's LIMA edition.
Started in 1991, LIMA has emerged as the premier destination for aerospace and maritime players, targeting the Asia-Pacific market in the civil, defence and enforcement sectors.
On business contracts expected to be sealed during the five-day event, Ahmad Dzuhri said: "Suffice to say it will surprise everyone especially in this difficult time."
LIMA 2007 netted RM13.199 billion in business deals.
